We created HelloFeed because we found it really hard to get love from our best customers in an easy and authentic way. Sure, there are other platforms for testimonials and reviews, but many of them are disorganized or expensive or both. And, most of the focus is on just getting text testimonials and social proof. So, we started building the testimonial app we wanted ourselves.
During that time we were also running ads for our other products on Meta and other platforms. And, we continued to see that testimonial ads were performing the best.
But, making those ads was a nightmare. We tried engaging agencies to create UGC ads at $200-$400 per video and they were very sophisticated and didn't even convert. We messed around with AI UGC creators and they were a joke. They looked fake, felt fake and users saw right through them. There is also a problem with these tools because fake testimonials violate the rules meant to control testimonials. So, we spent months trying to create a better way to develop UGC ads. We built this into HelloFeed through a built-in ad studio. This studio makes it easy to license and edit testimonials for your best-performing ads, using AI to get suggestions to use in our ads, tags, and other key elements.
